Museum of salt and pepper shakers (Museo de Saleros y Pimenteros)

The Museum of Salt and Pepper Shakers in Guadalest founded in 2009. It is a private collection of the archaeologist Andrea Ludden. For 30 years, she collected more than 20 thousand unique exhibits, and some of them can even move and talk. Remarkable figures, like a magnet, attract the eyes and make visitors stare at them for hours.

The Microminiature Museum (Museo de Microminiaturas)

All exhibits in this museum are tiny, and you can see them just with a microscope. The Museum of Microminiatures can not be passed by any tourist, visiting Guadalest. This museum attracts attention is due to the work of the sculptor and painter, Manuel Moussa. He is considered one of the best microminiaturizes in the world. He created his works over the years, devoting his life to them.

The author’s collection is unique. All exhibits are made by hand, without the use of automation and lasers. Manuel Moussa developed the tools for work independently. His masterpieces are so miniature that it is impossible to examine them without microscopes.

Torture Museum (Museo de Instrumentos de Tortura)

The Medieval Torture Museum in Guadalest is not a place for impressionable visitors. It is also better not to come here with children – for them, there are other attractions in the village, for example, museums of dollhouses or salt and pepper shakers. There are torture instruments of the Middle Ages, which still strike fear and horror on tourists, but many people like it.

This specific place will be of interest to people who are fond of history, or who like variety in excursion programs. This museum displays instruments of torture that were used in the Middle Ages to punish criminals and heretics.

Museum of Christmas Figures and Dolls or Museum of Antonio Marco (Museo de Belenes y Casas de Muñecas or Museo de Antonio Marco)

The museum will not leave indifferent the youngest tourists. Shown here are models of houses and churches surrounded by natural elements.

The museum is unique because all the exhibits made from the materials used to produce it in real life. You get the feeling that you are in the city, with houses, churches, shops and lanterns, and if you looking through the windows, you see the same atmosphere as if you entered a cosy home. The exhibits are made by the talented master and collector Antonio Marco. He has spent more than 15 years to create exhibitions.

Ethnological Museum (Museo Etnológico de Guadalest)

In the historical part of the small Spanish village of Guadalest, there is the Ethnological Museum, which acquaints visitors with the way of life of residents of the 18th century. The museum building is a typical Arab-style house of that time, with an arch-shaped entrance made in the rock.

The Ethnological House Museum divided into three main sections. In the first sector, visitors can see the interior, antique furniture, dishes, clothes and household equipment. In the second section, you can see devices are demonstrating the process of producing wine, baking bread, obtaining olive oil. And in the third sector, you can see a collection of ancient weapons.

Museum of Microgigants (Museo Microgigante)

The Microgigants Museum, located in Guadalest, attracts tourists from all over the world. The reason for this is an unusual exposition.

The Microgigants Museum offers two collections of art. The first consists of microminiatures by Manuel Moussa, which you can see only through powerful magnifiers. The second is a giant sculpture, next to them a person himself feels like a miniature. This contrast is impressive and makes you think that everything in this world is relative.

Manuel Moussa devoted most of his life to his works. Surprisingly, all the artworks are hand-made. The artist did not use any automation or lasers. He developed the necessary tools himself.

Museum of Vintage Cars and Motorcycles (Museo Vehículos Históricos Valle de Guadalest)

In the province of Alicante in eastern Spain, near the village of Guadalest, there is a museum of vintage cars and motorcycles, which is a private collection of Ricardo Freis. Here are the exhibits of the 20-70s of the last century and even two motorcycles that are almost 100 years old – the French AUTOMOTO 175 TURISMO and the English AJS 1922 B1.

Several times a day, one or the other exhibit leaves the museum to attract visitors. Boys and their dads will like the museum of retro cars and motorcycles.
